In the light of day we were able to see that part of the tree took out one of the power lines in front of our house. Later we learned that it was quite the light show, when the power came back on at 11:00. Apparently the broken line caused so many sparks and flashes that multiple neighbors called 911. We slept through the whole thing and apparently 911 wasn’t concerned enough to send anyone out.
On top of normal shoveling duties Jamie had to break up the branches so that they were no longer blocking our neighbor’s driveway.
Emmett was not crazy about the snow, even when the cool truck showed up to clip the remaining loose branches.
Ellis loved ever bit of it!
Later in the day I took Jasper and Ellis sledding. I was happy that they were able to use the new sleds that they got for Christmas.
Around 3:00 the power was cut off again, so that the broken lines could be fixed. This left us with nothing to do, but watch the show out front.
