This time of year I love how the sun touches parts of the garden that it usually neglects, due to gray winter clouds and shady summer trees. Like this Aucuba flaunting it’s bright red berries in the spring sun.
On a darker note I came home today to find a Hawk feasting on small bird in the backyard. I know it is part of the circle of life, but I found it quite disturbing.
The hawk isn't up to your usual photographic standards but I see Anaflog wasn't so disturbed she couldn't take a picture!
