191.2017 - AZ

We woke up at 6:30, so that we could do an early tour of Lower Antelope Canyon.

Early morning excitement!

The cayon is located on Navajo land and requires a tour. One off several slot canyons in the area Upper and Lower Antolope are the only two that are tourable.  The canyons were made popular by a photo on the cover of National Geographic in the early 90s.  Tour were not offered to the public until 1997.  Before the that the Canyon was only accessible via ropes, above you can see the foot holds that were used back then.

Back at the hotel, we ate breakfast and did laundry.

On the way out of Page we stopped at the Lake Powell Dam.   You can walk across the bridge an look down at the river on one side and the Dam / Lake on the other.

Boys that would rather look a screen than the view.
