Emmett is now out of diapers and in big boy underwear. Yes, we subjected my family to another year of potty training at the beach. All and all I think it went far better than the last 2 times. Even though we did have a couple days of nakedness, when he refused to wear anything other than diapers and I refused to let him wear diapers. While in the process we would say “don’t you want to be a big boy”, or “you’re a big boy now”. Then after it is all over almost overnight he seems to grow and you realize that he is a big boy and you feel a mix of pride and sadness, that your baby is no longer a baby.
