In an attempt to beat the heat we were up early exploring the North Carolina Museum of Art Park. A large park on the Museum grounds with sculptures and trails spread throughout. There were a few runs and cyclist, but mostly we had the park to ourselves, which was good for when Emmett decided to cool off in the Museums fountains. Later on our way from Raleigh to Hilton Head we stop in Lucama, NC to visit the Whirligigs of Vollis Simpson.
