We celebrated Ellis’ birthday with his friends and classmates at Hayes Park and sprayground. I had been stressing about what to do for Ellis’ party for awhile, I did not what a repeat of last year when we had rain forcing all the kids and parents into our house. Hayes Park was great, first of all it was mid-July and a sprayground, second the park has a solar system theme which I was very easily able incorporate into a Space party theme. The only problem was that the Hayes Park picnic area could not be reserve in advance, it is available on a first come first serve bases only. So we arrived at the park 3 hours early to squat which was good because there ended up being 4 other parties at the same time. I think the party was a big hit, and Ellis had a ball. Thank you to my Mom and Dad who help out with the party setup and watching Emmett during the party.
