Following the Sun

On our last day in California we followed the Sun inland (June Gloom is a curse of the coast only).

We drove west to Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, which was heavily damaged by fire in 2003. It was interesting to see both the charred remains of the fire,


and all of the new and remaining vegetation.


We stopped in Julian for lunch, and then drove to Mt Laguna.
