Every year during the memorial weekend thousands of motorcycles descend on our area for the rolling thunder event to raise awareness to the POW-MIA issues. This year we thought the boys might enjoy watching the motorcycles in the actual event “rolling” into Washington. The boys were not so impressed, partly due to the hot weather and partly due to the fact that it really wasn’t that impressive. I expected to see hundreds of motorcycles at once, but instead the came by in groups of 10 to 20. Next year we will sip the official event and maybe just watch them come in from one the bridges over 66, or maybe we will skip it all together.
