After nearly 10 years since we left Atlanta and moved home, we were back in town for one day. Our first stop was the Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts, the location of our last Apartment in Atlanta. We moved here in the summer of 1998, shortly after they had completed the first part of the conversion from abandon factory to apartments. I loved living here watching the construction of the other building and later the devastation from the fire that nearly burn the building right outside our window to the ground.

We were able to go inside and wonder the halls and all the different stairwells something I loved doing 10 years ago. The stairwells for the most part have not been changed as part of the conversion and still feel very much like an abandoned factory.

Later we stop in Piedmont Park.

Toward the end of the day as a reward for driving around an looking at lots of stuff we wanted to see, we took the boys to the Atlanta Children’s Museum.
The city really hadn’t change too much, there were new buildings here and there, but really nothing like Arlington, or DC has changed in the last 10 years since we’ve been back.
