1,000

This is my 1,000th post to Anaflog, which I think is a pretty big milestone. So, I thought I would take a few moments to reflect.

When I look back over the past 3 years of photos, I feel grateful to live in a time with the technology to easily and inexpensively share and document my life in pictures. Though I love sharing my photos, I do post mostly for myself. I love how I can look back and remember exactly what we were doing on a particular day in time. I love seeing Jasper and Ellis grow up in the photos. I love seeing how my house and garden have evolved over time and being able to see exactly what was blooming when.

My only real regret is that I should have posted more. When I began in 2005 I tried to keep the format to only one photo a day, I think this left out a lot of great photos. Then in 2006 my motivation to even pick up the camera was seriously slowed due to general pregnancy fatigue, missing many cute Jasper’s moments. Today I try to make taking and posting photos a priority despite juggling work, family, and house. I may not always post daily, but I do try and take pictures daily so I can catch up when I have time.
