My Hill

I started re-landscaping the little hill in front of our house last fall. I made it as far as ripping out the overgrown juniper before I got hit with first trimester exhaustion. The hill sat completely bare throughout the winter. This spring I replaced the rotting wood timbers at the bottom of the hill with river rocks, which I‘ve been digging out of the dirt at construction sites for the past three years. After that a planted the hill with a bunch of daylilies I ordered bare root online. The daylilies didn’t do much this year and the hill was still looking a little sad all summer. Over the past couple weeks I’ve finally been able to get the hill to a place I’m happy with. A the top of the hill I added 3 english boxwoods transplanted from my parents house, , 4 euonymous fortuneis from the backyard and some liriope also from the backyard and 3 new small azaleas. Today I finished the project with the addition of over 100 bulbs, and a few pansies. This photo isn’t that great, but I plan to post more photo’s next spring when the bulbs are in bloom and then again in June when the daylilies are peaking.
